After I pass the exam, am I a notary public?
|
| The notary course includes instructions on what to expect after you take the exam. To explain in brief: if you're becoming a notary, after you pass the exam, you will still need to order supplies, get fingerprinted, get a bond, and file an oath with the County before you can start notarizing documents. Renewing notaries go through many of the same steps before their commission is renewed. See the Notary Resources section for a link to the Secretary of State's website which has more details on each step of the process, as well. |
